What is a Level Sensor?

The Turkish equivalent of level sensors is sensor. The level sensor functions as the sensory organ of the automatic control systems in the machines.
These sensors have a wide sensing capacity that can detect heat, light, sound, pressure, force, electricity, distance and acceleration. Sensors that can detect these situations facilitate industrial processes. For example; A machine with level sensors can stop itself in a sudden increase in temperature, a robot can change its direction without hitting an object in front of it, or give an alarm according to the changing pressure of the environment.

Level measurements can be made continuously or with measurements taken at certain intervals. Continuous level sensors measure the level at a specific rate, giving an approximate precise result for the material at a specific point.

It is divided into Level Switches and Level Transmitters.
 
LEVEL SWITCHES
Level Switches are sensors that provide contact information when liquids and solids in tanks, such as tanks, come to certain points.
There are many varieties. Float, vibrating, motor and capacitive are the most used. They vary according to the medium used and the liquid.

Float level switches:
They are the most commonly used and economical sensors. Level switches can also be produced specially depending on the process and the wishes of the customers, apart from the uniform ones.
Float Level Switches work by triggering the sensors placed in the pipe by the floats on the pipes. The weight of the floats is specially calculated, produced and remains above the liquid. In this way, it moves with the liquid and can trigger the sensor in the pipe. In this way, contact output can be taken.

Vibrating Type Level Switches:
Available in liquid, solid and liquid-solid models. The two feet on it produce tiny vibrations. The sensor is provided to give a contact output by entering between these legs and interrupting the communication between the two legs. It can also be used in humid tanks because it produces vibration.

Pedal Motor Level Switches:
It is used in solid materials. Not recommended for use in humid tanks. After assembly, the pedal remaining in the tank starts to rotate thanks to the motor placed in the body. When the solid material in the tank reaches the level of the pedal motorized level switch, it prevents the pedal from turning and when the pedal does not turn, contact output is taken from the electronic card.

Capacitive Level Switches:
It works with touch screen logic. It gives a contact output when liquid or solid is on it.

LEVEL TRANSMITTERS
Level Transmitters are sensors that continuously measure the level of liquids and solids in open or closed chambers and transfer this to the outside through certain outputs.
